China House Restaurant - Valemount

Thought we would drop in for a bite the service was alright they tried since the buffet was constantly depleted with food and when it was out it be gone in no time price was fair but won't go back

Recommend by the hotel clerk. It was the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. .....and I'm old. The chow mien was tasteless with cold veggies. The pork dumplings were revolting - deep fried not steamed. The lemon chicken was anemic. We couldn't eat it. We paid and got a couple of donairs on our way back to the hotel.

We only wanted one dish for takeout to share between my son and I. To be fair the food was ok and portion was generous. However, the owner was very rude (there was just one other couple there, you'd think she'd be happy for the business). When I asked for two chopsticks (in case my finicky teenager actually wants to eat) she very rudely said, "not enough for two people." There was actually enough for two and more and I'd already told her we'd eaten on the way there from Jasper! Just can't stand condescending rude people after driving 12 hours (all the way from Montana!)

Enjoyed this meal a lot. Large portions & reasonably priced. Clean & decor very simple. Made a nice treat instead of fast food

I like this restaurant because I can order as dish to meet my needs, others can have the buffet, and other can eat Canadian food.
