My Fish Stop - Van Nuys

Came in around 7pm on a Wednesday. Place was empty, only the 2 workers were in there lounging around on their phones. Lobster mac n cheese was over seasoned with black pepper. The Lobster is immigration krab. Greens also had a ton of black pepper but tasted like the Mexican candy Lucas. We ordered 2 plates, the fish and shrimps were burnt, not seasoned, and cooked in OLD OIL. Not to mention the portion of the sides, they give you 1 teaspoon of each. Also, checked in here on the Yelp app and was not honored the 20% off. Save yourself the trouble and do not come here. You will 100% be disappointed. I overlooked the negative reviews because of the positives and ended up getting the worst outcome. This was a waste of $55. So disappointing and disgusting. What a waste.

Lobster Mac and cheese was all pepper, the fish was so old you can taste it, what a bad experience. They guy at the counter was cool though

Yams water down topped with massive cinnamon on top. This is so bad!! Like how do you mess up yams . So much cinnamon and spice it lost its color. The yams were really dark looking and cold. Blackened Salmon undercooked. Nothing soul about it. SMH East Coast will always win over west coast soul food!!

After going to the NoHo location, last week, and finding it closed, I walked in today to place a takeout order (a Catfish Po Boy and a small Lobster Mac. What a HUuuuuuGE disappointment and a waste of money!!!! One SUPER-emaciated and poorly-seasoned catfish was laying in the middle of a hollowed-out LaJolla IGigante Torta bun (that the cook said they were using for the first time , amidst some shredded lettuce and a sauce that still has my stomach churning. And as far as the Lobster Mac goes... the small-sized container was just a little over half-way full (enough to feed a 3 or 4 year old, and the macaroni shells were rubbery, tasteless, and just bad! Needless to say, I found the meal so inferior that I had to toss it. It was not fit for human consumption. My Fish Stop (NoHo should seriously consider hiring someone who specializes in Quality Control, because there's no reason why patrons should pay good money for bad food.

Yankee special amazing with the fried fish grilled shrimp. The absolute best. Must try.
