Cartems Donuts Downtown - Vancouver

The donuts at this restaurant are amazing! The texture of the donut was incredibly soft. I tried the smoked maple flavor and it was delicious. This place is definitely a must-visit when in Vancouver. Just make sure to arrive early because they tend to sell out of flavors. I arrived at 2pm and unfortunately they were out of the vanilla bean flavor.

I like Cartems GF donuts as you can’t find those easily around the town. This time I got the whole selection. My absolute favourite is the green tea donut with rose pedals on them. The walnut one is really good too. There is a salted caramel that some people are a big fan of.

I just had to see what all the hype was about with Earl Grey donuts in Vancouver, and let me tell you, they are a game changer! I made sure to arrive right after they opened to get a fresh batch. While they are on the pricey side, I have to admit they are incredibly delicious and addictive, so I would recommend enjoying them in moderation. They pair perfectly with your morning coffee and make for a killer combo that I can't recommend enough. The Earl Grey frosting is the perfect balance of sweetness and savory, leaving a fantastic aftertaste. I appreciate that this donut shop offers vegan options and uses wholesome, non-GMO ingredients without artificial additives. I highly suggest trying the baked version over the traditional fried donut for a light, fluffy texture that is pure perfection. Support local businesses and treat yourself to some amazing donuts!

OMG!!! Soooooo good! Definitely a must try for the best vegan donuts ever! Their regular donuts are so fluffy and so delicious! I’d definitely come again to try some more of their flavours, but their baked ones are a little dry. I’d also say that the pumpkin spice donuts are a little on the stronger side in terms of pumpkin spice flavour. On the other hand the pistachio donut was literally heaven. So I’m torn, but I’ll stick with a very solid 4 stars?

I always have room for desserts! Cartems has some tasty donuts in town. First pick was earl grey. It’s vegan and gluten friendly and has a great earl grey tea flavor. The glaze is not too sweet and had a sprinkling of rose petals. This is a dense donut and super filling too. Second pick was the smoked maple walnut. Maple glaze and smoked walnuts were excellent and it’s a fluffier yeast donut. The earl grey is definitely my favorite!
