The Butcher & Bullock - Vancouver

I had a fantastic lunch at this pub, enjoying some delicious pub grub and a tasty stout. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was inviting. Despite reading a Yelp review that mentioned the music being too loud for conversation, I found that not to be the case at all. The music was at a perfect background level, allowing for plenty of conversation amongst patrons. I will definitely be returning to this pub next time I visit Vancouver.

The Butcher is like my own personal Cheers. It always has a welcoming atmosphere and a great mix of people from the industry. I really enjoy this place. The staff are what truly make it special.

The best bar in Vancouver to watch the Mighty Reds! 1 huge screen plus loads of smaller screens means there is not 1 bad seat in the pub to watch the games. Good atmosphere and friendly service. YNWA

I'm having a hard time deciding between giving them a 4 or a 5-star rating, so I'll go with 4.5! We tried their black cumin roasted salmon, fried chicken sandwich with salad on the side, and starters of dirty fries and cauliflower. Everything we ordered was delicious. The only small downside was that the fried chicken sandwich was a bit dry and could have used some extra mayo.

Good food. Great service. They have surprisingly good salad for a pub. I had this kale and goat cheese salad with the Cajun chicken burger. The quality of service is displayed in little things like the quality of napkins and hand dryers in the washrooms. Slightly underlit. I could barely read the menu.
