My family, staff and friends have been going to the winery for social events and to enjoy the atmosphere and the great owners. This is a wonderful winery and very inviting. The owners are excellent and the food and wine offerings are excellent.
The owner behind the bar is an absolute delight. He is so kind and genuine and their wines are the best in the area. We had a bottle of Fredonia and Guilty pleasures and these 2 bottles will keep us as faithful patrons for years to come. Great spot to unwind and forget your troubles for a while.
Definitely recommend this winery. It's a great atmosphere and the owner is very nice. I really liked every wine that I sampled. I'm not a fan of fredonia, but theirs was so good!! Will definitely visit again!
I view this wine as a contagion. Is this place a gathering ground for ladies? Yes....Do people enjoy getting together here drinking the wine? Yes....Is there a single human being alive on planet earth that knows a THING about dry red or dry white wine that actually thinks this wine is good? Absolutely notThis wine is made with Pennsylvania grapes (and neighboring states) and for this reason it 's utterly disgusting (unless you like sugary, sweet wines). [Edit: I 'm told they use juice from Chile California, however this does not change my view on quality]. Until they do what Narcisi Winery does and simply imports QUALITY grape extracts from CALIFORNIA then it will always be bad... believe it or not Narcisi is able to pull this off (their dry red Stella is phenomenal) so back to my point:This winery partners with many local breweries. Wooden Door offers the beer, and the breweries offer the WD wine. The problem is that the breweries are getting the short end of the deal. The wine is undrinkable. Conversely some local brew pubs offer great craft beer (Conny Creek, Allusion to name a few).... Thus the contagion. If you are a brewery please challenge them to develop some quality dry wines on par with Narcisi using CA grapes, or SIMPLY offer Narcisi wines as well. Thank you Allusion Brewery! It 's really causing people who enjoy wine to go elsewhere. Local brewpubs are losing business. The wine is garbage.
