Panera Bread - Venice

I purchased a baguette from this establishment thinking it was a bakery. When I asked the cashier for a whole baguette, he inquired if I wanted a whole one or just a piece. I selected a full baguette, which he then rang up on the card reader for $3.75. Upon arriving home and examining the bread, I discovered it had molded cut lines, and was dense with no discernable crust. The ends were blunt and overall unappealing. It was the worst baguette I have ever had, resembling more of an industrial bread rather than artisan. I would not buy from this place again.

The cleanliness is abysmal. I have visited several Panera Bread locations, and this one is the dirtiest by far. There is food residue on the bowls and the utensils are filthy. The booths are never cleaned, creating a grubby atmosphere that detracts from the dining experience. The lack of cleanliness makes it hard to enjoy the food.

I ordered to go so I did not see the size of bread bowl and soup. I was shocked when I got home. It was a tiny version of what they used to be. I am done. It really was not enough soup to make a meal. Never again ... restaurants are asking a lot from their customers with more cost and shrinking the size of everything. ..I will not be back .

It was my first time trying their sandwich. It was very good .
