Írjon visszajelzéstVery disappointed. My wife and I walked into a brand new 1980s decor, furnished in a mishmash of incongruent colors, patterns and materials. Visually it made no sense. We understand the original location across the street had some charm. The new space iscavernous, cold and austere. Loud pop music played through the ceiling speakers. We almost turned to leave but figured the foodmust be great, ratings being excellent. We should have followed our instincts. My wife ordered grilled romaine salad. Itconsisted of a single head of romaine, warmed briefly on a grill, not grilled. The balsamic dressing was dumped all over it in agoopy mess. It quickly became a sticky, limp pile of lettuce. After a few bites she gave up. I ordered the ?Chef?s Special? subsandwich. It consisted of a huge amount of stacked meats between a too small, over baked roll. Impossible to eat due to it?ssize and rock hard roll, I had to chew off some of the meat and cheese from the edges before it fell apart. We were shocked bythe experience. The chef has apparently no concept for balance and presentation. Cannot recommend Cafe Venice and will notreturn.
We hosted an event for our team here and had a fantastic experience! The food was delicious and the service could not have been better. Robert who was taking care of us that evening was attentive, anticipated our needs and wore a welcoming smile the entireevening. Thank you for making this event so fun and easy!
We dined in the charming breezeway, but unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. It was incredibly loud due to the loud music and traffic noise from the nearby stoplight, making it nearly impossible to have a conversation. On a positive note, the kale salad and butternut squash were fantastic! However, the green beans were quite bland, and the salmon was not up to par compared to my previous visits. The special bread pudding was so dry that we felt we needed a chainsaw to get through it. The Brussels sprouts and stuffed flounder dinner were enjoyable, though. While the service left something to be desired, they did offer a complimentary dessert, which shows they genuinely care. I understand that challenges can arise, especially with staff shortages putting pressure on the team.
During my recent lunch visit, a group of seven of us dined at this restaurant for the first time. Our waiter, Chad, provided excellent service to our entire party. I ordered the pastrami melt with fries, which came with pickles—a unique touch, but quite delicious. My dad chose the quiche alongside a lobster bisque soup, both of which were outstanding. We also discovered that one of our companions is an author; he brought his book for us to read and share. It’s available on Amazon. I highly recommend Cafe Venice!
This is the ideal spot for lunch on W Venice Ave! The Turkey Sandwich was not only huge, but also delicious, particularly with the herbed mayo. I really appreciate that you can upgrade your side to a salad, and it's not just some dull piece of iceberg lettuce either! I had the Fresh Spinach Salad as my side and loved every aspect of it, from the goat cheese to the orange vinaigrette. Thank you, Cafe Venice, for a fantastic meal! P.S. A special thanks to Katie (I hope I remembered her name right!), my server at the table. She was charming and efficient—an excellent waitress!
