Huge fan. Stumbled upon this joint last year driving by on US 1. Easy to get to right off 1. Good parking. Great food and service. Always pleasant. Clean bathrooms. Friday and Saturday are prime rib after 4pm. Very good. Try the dessert pies made in house. Crazy good. Will definitely go back.
Totally disappointing. Ribs were disappointing- especially compared to the other ribs I've had in the past weeks. Overcooked. Too dry. Lacking life. And, when I was gnawing on the bones they just tasted wrong. The sides were even more disappointing- but I stuck with the veggies and skipped the fried stuff. The price was ridiculous for the quality. But, if you are from a small town in the South, you might find this place to be fine.
Just like the old Fat Boys. Had the Smokehouse Sandwich Basket. I had pork; beef is also an option. Comes with two sides: fries, baked beans, or cole slaw. They also have green veggies, but you have to ask. The sandwich was as good as ever, but the fries were a little underdone. And why do restaurants go cheap on ketchup. Spend the extra nickel and buy Heinz.
Went there last night for first time while visiting my parents. We had a party of 5 and got there around 6PM. Place was not too crowded so we got sat right away. My daughter ordered lemonade which they ran out of. Then we all ordered half rack of baby back ribs. Waitress came back and said they only had 4 half racks left. So my mom ordered the brisket. We waited a good 35 minutes for our food. When it finally came out, ribs were decent. I got dry rub which had little flavor compared to others I have had but they were tender. The sides were eh...corn was cold and mashed potatoes had zero flavor even though they had gravy. Mac and cheese was the best side. My mom's brisket was super dry. Still trying to understand how a BBQ joint runs out of baby back ribs on a Saturday night at 6PM! Would not be my first choice of places to eat when we come back to Vero Beach.
