Antica Trattoria Pero D’oro - VERONA

This restaurant was recommended to me by several locals. The owner, his son and the rest of the servers were very friendly, professional and quick. We decided to spend valentines dinner here and it was truly special. The food was excellent and the portions very large! I cant wait to go back- highly recommend it!

Been there last week. Food was ok, the tagliata was cold and the pasta with renga a bit too oily.. portions are good. The owner be-treated a couple next to us. They wanted a starter to be served as main dish and the owner kind of refused in a bad manner. Since we were very close, I found the situation a bit embarrassing. For the rest the service was fast and good. Prices a bit too high for what you get in terms of quality.

You 're in safe hands the moment you walk in to the Pero d 'Oro. Both primi and secondi are excellent, though the menu is more suited to an autumn/winter visit. You should try a 'tris ' (mix of three types) of tortellini and the tagliata (horse, rather than beef steak we 're in Verona, after all) or tartare (still equine, with all the trimmings) to follow. Desserts are very nice, too and for wine you needn 't look further than the house red or white. Well worth a visit to warm up as the days turn chilly.

I returned with my colleagues after a few years. you always eat well but the menu has slightly changed, I did not find exceptional dishes. very good service and honest prices.
