Los Tapatios - VESTAL

We love Los Tapatios, it is our go-to Mexican restaurant. I’ve lost track of how many times we’ve been here over the years. We even ordered from them during COVID and had it delivered. They are the best and the food is always perfect.

This Mexican restaurant serves the most authentic dishes. The tacos are the best in town, no question. I would visit this place every day if I could. The staff is friendly and the menu is extensive.

It has been four years since my last review, and I decided to give Los Tapatios another try. I am happy to say that I am glad I did, as most aspects of this experience were much better than what I remembered from my previous visit. Los Tapatios was a fantastic choice for some authentic Mexican food this weekend. Due to COVID, their bar is currently closed, but they are offering indoor seating with the requirement to wait for a table outside if they are at full capacity. During this visit, I ordered the 'pick 3' plate with a Chile Relleno, Burrito, and Chicken Quesadilla, along with a side of Tamales to share at our table. I was pleased to see that the tamales were wrapped in corn husks, as is traditional, and they were delicious. The 'pick 3' plate was more than enough food, allowing me to have leftovers for lunch the next day. The service was good, with the wait staff always prompt in refilling drinks. Although there was a slight wait for our food, it was a busy night and the wait was not excessively long, maybe around 15-17 minutes. Overall, this was a much better experience than my previous visit, and Los Tapatios will definitely be added back into my rotation of dine-in restaurants in the future.

The server was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, some of the best Mexican cuisine I've had from the area. Despite arriving after the typical dinner time, the atmosphere was relaxed.

They started us with chips and salsa the salsa was spicy. We ordered a side of Quacamole and that was good. I had the Tejanas Fajitas that was pretty good. I also got a 99 cent beef taco that wasn't bad. We went on Tuesday and they have 99 cent taos for taco Tuesday. My wife got a beef taco , chicken taco and a beef taco. She said they were all good. Staff was friendly and place was clean.
