Cakes Etc - Victoria

I discovered this hidden gem a few years ago. Their desserts are out of this world, yet their prices are down to earth. Often I stop by this bakery for a delectable treat. The staff is friendly and the baked goods are delicious.

I have been purchasing cakes from Cakes etc. for years (@ least 10) & for a special occasion would not even consider going any where else. Celebrating everything from Birthdays, Christmas, to Engagements parties they have come thru flawlessly with service, quality and quite frankly the best cakes I have ever tasted! I should have written this review long ago, my apologies for that!!

I ordered a lemon torte from this bakery for my birthday party! Their website shows all the different kinds of cakes they make and I must say that the cakes are more luscious than the photos! My guests were wowed by how spectacular the cake looked and even more wowed by how delicious it was. They do not use huge amounts of sugar so it is a cake that will please the most discerning palate!

We have ordered several cakes from this location. All have been excellent. Staff are pleasant and prompt service. Will keep going

We've been longstanding customers to this company and recently we've encountered two cakes ordered in the last two months to being real horrible! The second cake was instructed to have Passion Puree on the cheesecake but it was gelatin base but it was so gummy, it was not even pleasant to eat. The texture threw a lot of the staff off and when I mentioned this first hand to Deb, she explained it that this was the way to do it and if it wasn't and in her own words: "It would be you pouring orange juice on your cheesecake." We were expecting it to being a puree or a compote like their Fruit Medley. Its not often that we have issues with Cakes Etc but when it does, you would think the Owner (DEB) would have more compassion and understanding of their customers concerns/complaints but she immediately explained and dismissed me shortly after due to a meeting she needed to attend. By no means was I rude but polite and inquired an explanation.I learned a valuable lesson here: To be more specific and ask for a envision of how the cake will actually be or choose a different bakery.
