I love burgers, and I'm sick of the same lame frozen, microwa ved money's mushroom knock-off patties 95% of burger joints offer as an accommodation to non-carnivores. Pink Bicycle has a half dozen choices, all worth going in for, in addition to their addictive truffle fries.
It's gone. Sad. A casualty of the pandemic. We were looking forward to the burgers and unique treatment of poutine!!
We were very excited to try the Pink Bicycle, but sadly, despite their website saying they were open, they were closed when we arrived. We were disappointed to miss this experience!
Pretty big portion sizes and lots of vegan vegetarian options! The Moroccan veggie burger was pretty dry, and could do with more tomatoes. If you're vegetarian, ask for a slice of cheese on it, otherwise it's just too dry for a burger. One of the only places in Victoria to serve vegetarian and vegan poutine and my meat-eater friend says the gravy is pretty good, even comparable with the regular gravy! So I'd recommend this place for vegans/vegetarians wanting to try poutine.
I'm always looking for a good vegan-friendly restaurant that satisfies non-vegan guests. This is one such restaurant. The vegan burgers, poutines and salads offer plenty of options and, since this is not a specifically vegan restaurant, everyone else will find something they like. The ambiance is small bistro/diner, perfect for off-hours or after shows, but also good for main meals. Much better than burger franchises.
