Willows Galley Fish Chips - Victoria

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant when we ordered their fish and chips. We opted for two Chef's Plates with halibut, chips, coleslaw, and tartar sauce. The portions were generous, the food was served hot, and they were right on time with our pick up. The tartar sauce was especially delicious, with a unique spice that added extra flavor. It was also great to see that they use compostable packaging.

I adore this charming, family-owned restaurant! I am fortunate to have it conveniently located near my home. On a particularly lazy summer evening, I opted to purchase dinner instead of cooking. I chose the Davy Jones dish, which included two prawns and coleslaw. While I typically do not enjoy coleslaw, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was at this restaurant. I may even consider ordering a side of their coleslaw with all my seafood dishes in the future. It was that good!

This was the best fish and chips experience I have ever had. It's not just the delicious food, but also the excellent customer service. The staff is friendly, kind, and truly wants you to have a wonderful dining experience. The takeout bags even include pre-packaged condiments for a perfect beach dinner. Well done, Willows Galley!

Delicious, crispy, and filling! The poutine was delightful and the fish has a nice light batter. I'd recommend eating the fish right away as it goes soft by the time I'm done driving home! It's definitely worth it to park your butts and have a picnic ontheir outdoor tables. The tartar has a wonderful spice flavour, I would almost say tumeric was involved, either way I'ddefinitely have a bottle in my fridge if I could haha! 10/10 will be back again

When I visit family in Victoria, BC, this is one of our favorite fish and chip spots. I was surprised to see such a large line of people placing orders, most nights. My strong suggestion is that if you wish to get a great meal, it is best to call in andplace an order. I have heard that the owners are quite reasonable and I think they try to take care of everyone in the linebefore they close. But, people have to be reasonable. That said, the fish and chips are excellent. And, we love how they usethe old school technique of wrapping the fish in newspaper.
