Broken Hill Hotel - Victoria Park

I’m proud to say this pub is my local. I have been living in the area for eight years now and I have only seen this pub grow and develop. The Publican Nick is very passionate about this place and always seems to be trying out new ideas to cater for the mixed crowd that goes here. This is a great relaxed atmosphere to catch up with friends over a drink and a meal and has many areas to sit (indoor and outdoor)and has the friendliest staff I’ve ever experienced in a pub. They even offer table service for drinks when they can!

Amazed at how quickly I was served and how friendly all the staff were (genuinely). The beer garden very comfortable and relaxed. We had a shared plate and I liked the idea of a make your own shared plate. Food was fresh, hot and served quickly. I couldn't fault the meal or the staff professionalism.

Typical pub, good for Friday night drinks and watching footy. Ordered pulled pork enchiladas which were ok, wine was cheap, overall it does what it says on the tin and is good for a boozy night with friends. Also has a outdoor area

This heritage building has been completely transformed into a minimalist, clean edifice, subsequently attracting a cleancut, yuppy-ish crowd, with a few vintage strays hanging around probably from when the hotel was in its former rustic guise. At night, the Broken Hill lights up beautifully and is possibly one of the only places I'd go on the south shore for stylish but laidback surrounds. The restaurant offers is open for lunch and dinner from 12noon till late and offers anything from the classic Caesar Salad for $16.50 to Chilli Mussels $19.50) or Chicken Parmigiana in a Napolitans Sauce.

One of our most frequented locals this place is a mere 10 minutes walk from our front door. Handy. Their ability to cater for gluten free has steadily improved over the years but they still struggle a little with the no onion thing. In years gone by my no onion dish would always contain onion but more recently they take a lot more due care to respect my unpleasant allergy. Some of their seafood isn't the freshest but this is well priced pub food after all. The Boy regularly enjoys their steak which is usually cooked to his liking.
