Bloom And Cafe - Vientiane

Loved the antiquish decoration of caffes. nice to recover. hotel room is large and clean. there is no elevator, but the hotel staff helps to get the baggage. location is good, very easy to get to the point of the city's breathing activities.

Both rooms we reserved were turned to a building less thank 1 meter away from our windows. Just not comfortable at all. There are different menus for breakfast but neither the continental breakfast is really accurate. Staff could be more proactive during the check-in and give suggestions of things to do or places to eat. Prices of tours or taxi from the hotel and just too high compared to what you get in the street. The hotel and rooms' decoration is modern. Location is really good next to everything you need and has a lot of places to eat around.

Room and staff are always impressive. Only downside this time is the cafe is still closed so they did not have espresso coffee for breakfast menu.

The first and most difficult challenge is to find the place. The map isn't detailed enough to pinpoint it exactly and it's set 40m off the main street and is invisible if you aren't searching hard. The pin mark is reasonably close so look hard around there. Apart from that it was a pleasant enough stay but with a lot of these hotels the rooms have no view except the wall of the neighbouring hotel. Don't be put off though as the rooms are very tidy and the staff very pleasant and respectful. Breakfast is in the basement with a choice of local or western menus. The advantage of being off the main street during festivals is that it's much quieter than many other places. Seemed to be quite recently built.

A pretty nice hotel that is conveniently located. writing staff is polite, but their English is hit-or-miss. it would be great if they had a map of the city that was more than just a computer print. the room was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. it would have been nice if the housekeeping personnel had not thrown away the toothbrushes every day (the disposable disposable built-in staff who come with the room). water pressure in the shower could have been better. the breakfast was delicious and the coffee was something of the best I had in asia. my only complaining is that the rooms are loud. Maybe it was because we were near the stairwell (room 205), but every morning at about 6 o'clock we heard a lot of noise from the kitchen/café area, as well as people go up and down the stairs. the door to the room has not much soundproofed. Apart from the laughter we loved our stay and look forward to giving a higher room.
