No food purchased. Burgau needs a bar where you can ahve a drink in the evening. It appears to have lost its appeal following the demise of Rui who has sadly passed away.
Elizabet, Jonny and ‘mummy’ run a wonderful, simple cafe bar which is exceptional value. They are the nicest of people who always have time for their customers and are always happy to chat. The most wonderful Gin Tonic in the world, I have never managed more than three. An eclectic mix of locals and regular visitors.
This is a fab little find. Built around 30 years ago from the garage that was originally there it's a lovely little drop in for locals both Portugese and English ex pat community alike. Elisabete and her mother and son Johnny run a great bar with snack menu the Bifana are really yummy. I would highly recommend popping in to say hi they will make you very welcome.
What a great find , lovely local place. Welcoming family run cafe with all the usual Portuguese drinks and snacks also available. We had the bifana which was great with a sagres. Try out your Portuguese language skills and soak up the sun on the terrace . Great value !
