Restaurante Davilina

We called in, in March and were made so welcome by locals and staff. Made a point of going back a couple of weeks ago. Met the same people and were remembered by the barman. Great food at very reasonable prices. The menu isn't the easiest to understand, as there are two or three prices for each dish. But this is based on how much you get. The small portion is usually enough for two! Try it and if it isn't enough, order another dish. We had a really good steak dinner with plenty of booze (gin, beer, vodka, wine etc) for about 35 euros. Metro and el Corte Ingles are both about 50yards away. No excuses then.

One may not get the real feel of an area in five star hotels but probably will in neighbourhood bars frequented mainly by locals because it is here one finds social interaction both in drink, food and animated conversation. This is a pleasant bar serving good Super Bock lager, a fine selection of local wines and it has a nicely balanced menu of good solid wholesome local style food. Portuguese and Spanish football also feature on the menu here and the owner is very friendly and amiable.

Com bom tempero e quantidade boa, se quer vinho, aconselho o da casa que é muito bom. Oferece lugar limpo e pode levar sopas para o hotel e ainda faz entrega

Restaurante agradável e bem localizado, situado perto da Av. da República, em V. Nova de Gaia, e junto a uma das saídas do El Corte Inglês. Comida caseira e tradicional portuguesa, sempre saborosa e bem confeccionada. O Toucinho do Céu é divinal!Atendimento atencioso e extremamente simpático. A regressar sempre!
