The Artisan - Village of Lynbrook

I visited this place on a Friday afternoon, a little pricey but at least the food is GOOD and the place has a cute setup. The front of the house staff was unprofessional. The person at the register was on their phone the whole time I was ordering and paying at a point I had to beg for his attention to pay for my order. The chef was amazing and very attentive he assisted wayyyyy more than the staff at the register. I would order again because the food was very good but I recommend calling in your order in advance to avoid the front house staff.

I wish all my orders was like my first order OMG!! The velvet waffles and chicken strips was my absolute fav! The strips started coming dry and the waffles too then the fried Oreos, amazing my first order that is but after that goopy soggy cookies just mush. I would've been loyal if they kept that first order energy. After about 7/8 more tries I'm good.

Yes, it's freezing in the establishment the two times I've been there. When you walk in there is no one to greet you. You can hear the staff talking in the back. Not the most attentive staff. The lady at the front is very nice when she comes from the back though. Yes, the food takes forever haha, but has been great both times.

Didn't even get to eat here but wow what a weird unpleasant experience from my initial phone call to confirm the closing time to me walking in to a COLD, EMPTY restaurant. First off, the girl on the phone had an attitude, like I was bothering her on her personal phone lmao! Then when we get there, it was soooo cold inside, empty except for one guy waiting at the counter and I asked him if he was waiting for long he said a few minutes but nobody came out to greet him yet smh... I waited about one minute, called out a nice loud HELLLLO, and still, not a peep from the other side. There's too many other restaurants in the area to choose from. Also a little bit of advice the owner/manager... don't make it hard for people to spend money lmao like why would you let your staff just run your place like this? Such a shame.

This place is awful. The staff here does not know what they are doing. The counter girl makes it appear that she is doing you a favor by serving you and taking an order. They couldn 't make something the way needed because of dietary restriction and would give you a substitution without a quote upcharge of $2. When got to sit down to eat the fries were burnt, the quote Chilli nachos had nothing of what the menu said was on them. And the best was when calling to state the issue they stated that we were bothering them. If I didn 't have to give 1 star to put in a review they wouldn 't have gotten that one. Returned the food. Disservice calling this a restaurant and the employees qouldnt even last working in the kitchen at Rikers Island. Sorry Rikers. DONT GO AND WASTE MONEY.
