Les Marronniers - Villeréal

My wife and I visited this restaurant this evening and ordered the Daube De Boeuf which was very good, very tasty along with two glasses of wine. Unfortunately, having finished our meal we wanted to review the Dessert Menu but despite waiting 30 minutes and waving and calling the young waitress we felt ignored. So 9 out of 10 for the meal but 1 out of 10 for the service. The manageress apologised when we got so fed up and decided to pay and leave but unfortunately the damage was done as far as we were concerned.

Good quick and friendly service. This was our third visit and as ever we went for the lamb shanks, cooked in a garlic and rosemary jus. The lamb fell off the bone and was divine!!! Lovely choice of deserts as well. Consistently good for us :

We have been coming here for 15years. In the last year service has become very poor and food has gone down in quality. This visit it was 30 minutes before our order was taken, not even a drink order. Only 2 waiting staff who were running around shouting attention when delicering food and almost throwing it down in front of you. Don 't think we will, be back. a real shame, this place used to be great.

We have been coming to Villereal for ten years now, and it has to be said that this restaurant is a firm favourite of the family.This was our traditional end of holiday meal. The staff were , as always helpful with the booking, and in the evening in high season you need to been to save on disappointment. Some highlights on the menu for us... Longly braised pork, the onglet steak, confit duck.The chef comes out of the kitchen at the end of the evening, my hero, he cooks a steak to perfection. I have eaten many here.... yum.Yes the restaurant is on the corner of the road around the town, but this is really not an issue. I judge by the lunchtime clients, mostly locals come to have a good lunch. I cannot speak highly enough of this place.

Walked in without booking on a Saturday night! The staff re-arranged two tables et voila! Always book, for future reference, it is well liked! The staff are very good, the food superb, and the setting is also good. The menu is varied and the dishes served were of very good value. Would recommend a visit to anyone, families welcomed.
