Waffles Co - Virginia Beach

Tourist trap. Buffet overpriced. Poor quality food, pancakes were ok. Coffee was watered down. Limited selection of food items not worth the price. Restaurant was run down and dirty looking. Female in our party used the ladies restroom and was horrified by the uncleanliness and what looked like vomit on the floor. Waitress got our drink order wrong. The bacon was awful, greasy scraps of fat. I think the tourists who don't know what they are getting into is the only way this dump stays open, because I can't imagine anyone going back there a second time. Avoid.

I’m glad I didn’t get the buffet. Other guests seemed very happy with the buffet but I wanted a simple breakfast. I ordered a Belgian Waffle with an egg on the side. Much less cost than the buffet but very filling and delicious. Large waffle! My companion got chicken and waffles and enjoyed it very much. Bathrooms need a really good deep clean…. Management needs to give more attention to bathrooms please! If I had gone in there first I wouldn’t have stayed to eat. Servers very friendly.

No, because what was that?$61 dollars for the very limited buffet with food that tasted like frozen meals? Honestly, if it were cheaper, this review wouldn’t be as harsh. The price simply doesn’t match the quality.2/10 would not recommend!

First time eating here, and it will be our last. Was not given menus and when we asked for one, we were told, I 'll give you one, but it 's going to be a long wait for orders. So we decided we 'll just do buffet. Ask for the price of the buffet! Our fault for not asking, it was $100.13(not including tip) for 2 adults and 3 kids all under age of 10. Hardly any choices on the buffet. My daughter 's eggs were gritty. Her exact words, I think there is sand in my eggs. We got there at 7:30am, they open at 7am. The bathrooms were so dirty. Toilet paper all over the floor and toilets were dirty. Obviously not cleaned the night before. Crazy. No paper towels so there was a roll of toilet paper to dry your hand with.Dishes were VERY dirty. My husband finished his coffee only to find a used Splenda packed at the bottom of his cup. Very disappointed. We visit Virginia Beach yearly, and just wanted to try somewhere new. Our fault for not reading reviews but apparently we are not the first family to feel dooped.

When we first arrived, the waitress was friendly and seated us accordingly, and swiftly retrieved water for us. However, the waitress didn’t mention that we could only eat from the buffet until she brought water. We had eaten from here before and were looking forward to some of the meals. We decided to eat there anyways $23.40 for each person, table of six). The food was okay, but didn’t sit well in my stomach. When we finally got our checks and went to the manager to pay, we were told that we could’ve ordered normal food, and that it was never unavailable. The waitress lied to us. The manager didn’t seem to care, presumably because he was getting $140.40 out of us.Overall, a waste of money. If you’re a tourist looking for a nice breakfast, I’d recommend staying at your hotel. This isn’t the place to go.
