Eat tasted good, server were nice, but I didn't like how we were in a wide corner where we couldn't experience the largest part of the place. I understand that people don't like to have children in one, but that was our family dinner and we wanted to try a new place. I doubt we'll go back after they were with us.
Appetizers were inedible. Calamari was tougher than a tractor tire. Shrimp cocktail smelled like one month old shrimp and we sent it back. Cancelled our entree orders and left. Wait staff were pleasant and understanding I think they have seen this before.
It's a pleasant spot for drinks, offering a cozy and laid-back atmosphere. While the prices aren't the cheapest, they are reasonable. The service could use some improvement, as I found myself waiting for a waiter who never came.
We dined here at midday while exploring the nearby national parks. I had the pasta jambalaya, and honestly, it was better than anything I've had in New Orleans. It was made with shrimp, chicken breast, and andouille sausage, all beautifully combined in a flavorful three-fold sauce over penne pasta. I highly recommend it! The restaurant accepts cash and features live music on a few nights. If we lived nearby, we would definitely come here often.
