Best Western Palladior - Voiron

We make a six-week road tour through europa and have stopped here to break a long journey from France to Italy. the rooms are very clean and comfortable and everything works efficiently. my man was looking forward to getting good wlan in 3 weeks! we did not eat in the hotel as the prices seemed quite high, 12.95 euro per person to breakfast. the environment between the alps is beautiful and I hope that one day I will return to the opposite and do justice by exploring it properly.

Nothing special but friendly staff. menu big enough to make a choice, I took a steak that was quite fat, but average restaurant

The restaurant was unbearably hot with a broken air conditioning unit and a ventilator they wouldn't turn on! apparently the air conditioning system had been broken for a long time and the management in dispute with the air conditioning company. in my opinion, they should have repaired the system from another company and then picked up with the busy company. we sat down and asked for a fan, but we said they had only one who was not turned on. the waitress complained about the heat and was unhappy to work under these conditions. we looked at the menus, but were ignored when a big group arrived. after 10 minutes, hotter and hotter, the waitress said she's coming, but she didn't, so we went and went to the city and ate there. totally unprofessional art to lead a hotel restaurant!

We booked on line for a 4 night stay whilst attending a friend's wedding in the area. The room looked nothing like the photos on the web. They claim to be a 4 Star hotel but come nowhere hear this rating. We were obliged to...upgrade our room just to get enough space go move in and to get a better view of the other side of the car park. And this in the most beautiful part if a mountainous region! Whilst language (French/English) may play a small part in the misunderstandings experienced, the plain poor attitude and unhelpful nature of the staff did not help to make our stay at all comfortable. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Room Service took aged to bring even a pot of tea, often without milk, sugar or teaspoons! It took 2 days to get a missing bath plug replaced. There are no porters; they have a trolley for guests to use to take luggage from car to room. Merely complaining about any shortfall in this hotel leads to bad tempered looks, tantrums (throwing things around) and the cold shoulder treatment. Never again will I stay in this hotel. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! This hotel does no justice to the Best Western brand. One can only guess what the Worst Western could be like ...
