Whataburger - Waco

I recently tried Whataburger for the first time at two different locations and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the friendly customer service, and the cleanliness of both the restaurants and the restrooms.

I ordered food and waited in line for 10 minutes. After paying, I was asked to pull up and wait. The cashier then informed me that it would be another 7 minutes for my grilled chicken sandwich. Since I was on my dinner break from work, I asked them to prepare a burger instead. The manager came out and explained that they couldn't give me a burger, but could provide me with a breaded chicken sandwich instead.

Our first experience at Whataburger wasn't all that great, but not that bad either. It was just so-so. Staff was friendly, but didn't seem to care if we were there or not. The salad was good. The burger was okay. It would have been better if it hadbeen fresh. Seemed as if it had sat around under a heat lamp for awhile. Got hit up for money inside and outside of the storeby homeless folks. Would skip this place and go straight to In-n-Out burger next time.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. I only wish there was one in California. I really liked it, and I thought it was even better than In-N-Out.

I would simply like to point out that I ordered my food and waited approx. 47 minutes for an incorrect order and then waited an additional 10 for my shake. Thank you to the 2 employees that actually cared about the 7 people standing in the lobby waitingfor 15+ minutes for their food. My food was sitting on the counter for about 17 of that 47 and it took that amount of time foran employee to ask what my order number was and simply hand it to me off the counter. I don't typically write reviews that arethis critical. However, I have never had this bad of service either. Just try a little harder to help customers in the drivethru and the lobby. I could see the 12 drinks prepped for the drive thru and you had customers waiting in the lobby.
