Jerry's Pizza - Waialua

We have been take-out patrons of Jerry 's Pizza for years. Food was always delicious, never had an issue with our orders, never gotten sick, etc. While the quality of food is not the cause of this review, our family felt it was important to share our in-person experience. Right at opening on Wednesday morning, I decided to order a side of fries to snack on during the traffic drive home. While waiting in the restaurant, I noticed that the individual who was working in the kitchen used his BARE HANDS to make my Italian Salad, mix and bag the french fries. Because we were in a rush, I decided in that moment to not bring embarrassment in front of other customers and just take my losses. Later that evening, I called Jerry 's Pizza to share my experience not to cause trouble, but with hopes of improved service for others moving forward. The manager on duty defensively replied that it is apart of their training and policy to use their bare hands while handling food. I was in utter shock. I asked her for further clarification and she assured me that employees hands were clean I couldn 't get pass her demeanor and attitude with me on the phone. With disappointment, I decided it was important to come on here and share this review. I understand that some dishes, like pizza are best made with bare hands, but the dish is further cooked and placed under high heat. Consuming raw/cold vegetables and final ready-to-eat dishes that have been touched with bare hands, NO GLOVES, NO TONGS, etc. does not sit well.

This is a disgrace to call it pizza. Prison pizza would be better than this. Half cooked slop, dough was basically cardboard with no flavor and we ordered two different pizzas. The other reviews must have stock in Jerry's fallacy pizza mill. Save your money and time do not eat here.

Jerry's Pizza place was recommended by a shop owner in Haleiwa so we decided to give it a try. We really liked the pizza we ordered it by the slices. The slices are big and filling. The crusts is the crispiest we've ever had and really liked it. I like how it tasted. That's why I gave it four stars. While we waited for our order there were several take orders being picked up and i took that as a good sign. Our server was friendly she was busy taking taking orders, passing out the takeout , managed the dinning in area and on occasion policed the person lurking around the front door. Okay so the pizza is awesome but the restaurant is in need of a major facelift. As I sat there I could smell the musty carpet and needed to wipe down the table we sat at since it felt like there was settle dust on it. Not a big deal. Dust probably from the unpaved parking lot as the entrance doors are kept open. Rather than nit pick on how run down the place looks I'll just sum it up to needing a facelift. Would we return, yes but most likely do a takeout if so and enjoy our pizza at the beach.

I remember back in the day Jerry's use to be sunset pizza near the old laundry mat and kami's store. Now they are located in waialua next to waialua federal credit Union Pizza always good, the crust is thin and very delicious. I love that it doesn't make me full. Tomato sauce so Ono, decent price, great place for gatherings. Oh and they have burgers so Ono. A Must!!!
