Beautiful business with a beautiful rustic interior, well-known staff, seating, and a separate beer room with a lot of craft (local and different)... After a great day on the slopes my friend and I went through the city and stayed here for a few refreshing souvenirs back to NY. We had a nice conversation with Joan (owner and certified sommelier) as she gave suggestions and helped us find different wines throughout the business. The prices were fair and the selection was impeccable!
This store costs $19 for a bottle of founder Kentucky Breakfast Stout. The retail price is $19 per four pack. This is blatant price gouging, and founders should sell them from the right to their beer.
I moved to this wine shop with a beautiful girl; we were looking for some wine to finish the night. All the signs indicated that this place was closed: the lights were out, no one was in the (small) car park, it was over at the posted hours, and a sign said closed. But when I turned my heels to drive wine less back, I heard a voice, Hi! What are you looking for? It was the wine shop owner! He opened the store for us about 30 minutes after he was already closed. It turned out that he just left and we caught him in time. What a wild boar to meet him. He was so helpful, patient and even chatting at the cool Vermont evening. It is an amazing business with a wide selection of wines. The place itself is really beautiful, inviting you to peruse and take a really good look. Watch this place safely when you are in the area and like a drink.
