Costa Coffee - Wakefield

Overall, the restaurant is good. I deducted one star because the staff takes a long time to make a coffee every time I visit. If you are behind someone in line, you may have to wait a while.

I had to wait 20 minutes just to order a fruit cooler at this restaurant. There was no apology for the delay, and the place was dirty with tables covered in used cups and plates. A woman had to clear off the mess just so she could sit down with her baby. Another customer got fed up with waiting and left. Surprisingly, a bacon bun was reheated faster than a cup of tea for takeout.

Visited yesterday with family. There were flies crawling all over the cake brownie selection. I pointed this out to the guy serving who said he’d have them swapped he didn’t! Behind the counter near the drive through hatch was disgusting. Bin bags everywhere full of rubbish, empty cups and lids on the floor. None of the tables were cleared for new customers to sit down. Won’t be returning

Went through our local drive through this evening (Tue 22/02/22) with my daughter. Would just like to say the staff working this evening were polite, friendly, helpful and so very smiley. Could not fault them in any way. Drinks were spot on.

I go to this Costa usually to do some uni work and enjoy a nice coffee meanwhile. I don’t understand the bad reviews as every time I go the service is efficient and getting the jobs done they need. When you have 10 people with all different dietary requirements (therefore have to clean and use different equipments) it’s natural for the process of getting your coffee to be longer. And I feel like those kinds of people complain the most. Anyways, big shoutout to Joel who is always very welcoming and keeps on smiling.
