Bourbon Highway Country Kitchen

Submitted for a birthday party mainly listen to live country western music. No music on Saturday, 3/11! We were deceived as we were told by restaurant staff before our Revs would give it music! Not cool.

I loved learning to line dance at this place. It was so fun and enjoyable. However recently it’s been booming which I’m really happy about but now it’s a place for instagrammers to show off and has become a place of cliques and content creators that has really taken the fun and enjoyment out of it. I’ll be looking for a different place to line dance but know this is still a good place if you are ok with all the phone lights and Instagram entourages.

Fries are 5+ stars. Perfectly fried, professionally seasoned, seem hand cut. I loved both the ketchup the orange dipping sauce. I selected the slider combo because I couldn't decide on one sandwich. The pulled pork was my favorite but the spicy chicken was solid, as well. The hamburger felt a little like the girl that no one asks to dance because she's standing next to two bombshells. We ate it, don't get me wrong it just had a tough time living up to the excellence of the other two sliders on the plate. I ordered an old fashioned, which was uncharacteristically perfumed with cinnamon but it does clearly state that on the menu it was a nice side note to such a traditional cocktail. Some at our table ordered another round got a very different but more traditional version. It must depend on who's bartending. We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday evening our party of 8 was seated right away. Service was solid, even as the night got busier. Prices are up there but standard for WC the atmosphere warrants that. We finished the night trying our best to learn the line dances upstairs but let's be honest, achy breaky heart was the only one simple enough for our goofy group to really grasp. We had fun trying though. Security is abundant here. I really appreciate that.

I'm glad I didn't read the reviews first because we had a great time! The drinks were amazing, the food was really good and the service was awesome. Noise level is high, but in a fun way.

Great experience! The staff are attentive even as busy as it got. The music and whole vibe of the establishment was enjoyable and great fun for a Friday night! The sliders are a must have!
