I took my dad to Pacific for Father's Day and we decided to have breakfast there. There was a bit of a wait, but we anticipated that. While we were waiting, my dad had a health issue, but the staff, especially Katie and Hazel, were amazing in helping him and ensuring he was okay. Despite the hiccup, we were able to enjoy our delicious breakfast. Hazel and Katie even went above and beyond by pushing my dad in a wheelchair back to the car. I want to extend a big thank you to both of them for their exceptional service.
We visited this restaurant for the first time, as we usually go to a nearby garden center cafe. We were disappointed with the breakfast - the scrambled eggs were overcooked, the baked beans were dry, and the hot drinks were overpriced compared to other cafes in the area. Some reviews mentioned that the food took too long to arrive, but we found that it came too quickly for food that was supposed to be 'cooked fresh to order' as advertised on the menu. The selection of cakes looked good, so we may come back for an afternoon visit, but not for breakfast. The staff were not very friendly. However, the garden center itself was well-stocked with a good selection of garden furniture.
Always when visiting family we love a visit to Pacific. Today we thought we would try the breakfast. Staff are really friendly but think today they were a bit short of help. We had to ask for our table to be cleared and the breakfast took a while to come but was good, could have been hotter though. Our drinks order seemed to be forgotten and had to ask and the first person we ask said was busy doing something so we went to the counter and very apologetic and within minutes we had our drinks. To be fair the busy guy did come back 15 minutes later to ask if we had our drinks. A lovely place to wander around and spend, be aware lots of these gifts are cheaper elsewhere but that’s garden centres, they have to make money somewhere.
Having received vouchers as a gift we were excited to try out the afternoon tea experience. The acoustics are such that it can appear a noisy environment. Sandwiches fresh. Cakes and desserts very well presented but had lots of fresh cream too much for my taste.
