Írjon visszajelzéstIt's one of the best steaks we have ever had. The ribeye and tenderloins wad so much flavor. And if you do not have the shrimp cocktails, then you are missing out.
My steak was cooked perfectly inside and had a beautiful char. Everything about this place was great!
Service was good! That's where the pro list ends. The shrimp cocktail I've heard folks rave about was really nothing special just an overwhelming amount of horseradish that absolutely detroys the palate, which is how I think this place gets away with serving such bland food. Lobster bisque lacked any depth of flavor just cream. The Caesar salad was pretty good, and it would have been great if they weren't using cheap supermarket parmesan cheese. The roasted asparagus lacked seasoning even a little flake sea salt would have gone a very long way here. In addition to being undercooked, the dry aged NY strip steak was served to me lukewarm and poorly seasoned. It was difficult to cut and chew, which is completely unacceptable at this price point! The peppercorn sauce, while good, certainly didn't salvage it, either. The mashed redskin potatoes were a tad too starchy and lumpy, but not bad. Overall, this place was a huge disappointment very overhyped and not worth the price.
Our service was over the top! Our server was Brian who has 25+ years of service at St Elmo's His timing between appetizers, dinner dessert was meticulous. We enjoyed fun conversation. It was my first time visiting Indianapolis Brian definitely made it memorable for me my husband. The restaurant was able to make a note under our name to possibly have Brian be our server for future visits. Thank you for an awesome evening. We also enjoyed a nightcap in the speakeasy bar. We were very excited to visit this restaurant as we had heard so many wonderful things about it, but our experience was that it was much too loud and our food arrived cold and was fairly uninspiring. I rarely write a negative review but it seems like this restaurant is cruising on its laurels and could really use an infusion of attention. That said, the bar area looked fun and the upstairs lounge was lovely.
