Hammonds Soul Deli

I visited this restaurant with my family shortly after it opened, so it's possible that things have improved since then. When we arrived, I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with fries and was surprised at how expensive the food was. After a wait, our meals were brought out, and I was quite disappointed. The grilled cheese didn't look very appealing, and the fries were cold. We didn't finish our meals and ended up leaving. Unfortunately, I experienced diarrhea for a few days afterward; I can't be sure if it was something I ate before or from the restaurant, but I have my suspicions about the restaurant. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly, and the service was excellent! They made us feel very welcome.

Overall, my experiences at this restaurant have been satisfactory, but on May 25, 2023, I faced a particularly distressing situation. The manager—who was not the owner—was extremely rude and unprofessional. I had called him the day before to notify him that my order was incomplete after I had paid $47, yet he dismissed my request for help. Due to this incident, I have decided not to return. The customer service was disappointing, especially since it was the staff's oversight that resulted in my missing food items. The manager's name is T. Payne. I know Hammond and intend to inform him about the disrespectful behavior of his employee.

I frequently clean the parking lots of Family Dollar and the nearby Green Rd Beverage, and I've noticed some peculiar things happening. Cars seem to hang around and observe me, even though Family Dollar has been closed for around three weeks and the other stores aren’t open yet! I even changed the times I clean the parking lots, but the strange activity persists.

They are really nice to me everytime I visit. The wing special is my Grandmother's fav.Food: 5/5

Ordered lunch via DoorDash for pickup. Placed order early to make sure I wouldn't be late going back to work and still have time to eat. I was given a time to pick the food up. I get there only to be told that my chicken wasn't ready because they were waiting for oil heat up. As I'm waiting in my car in front of the door, I see an employee leave the bar next door with two shots and 2 Redbulls.I walked in to see if my food is ready. I had to wait until AFTER the employees stopped going back forth about an issue to see if my food was even ready. No complaints about the food at all. I just feel like I wasted my lunch, which was something I tried to avoid by ordering earlier than my lunch break.I try to support black business but it's mess like THIS that make it hard for me to do so.
