Írjon visszajelzéstI visited The first time (9/8/17). I ordered the short ribs w/mashed potato green beans. The meal arrived hot with steam coming up from the plate. The short ribs were tender and flavorful, The green beans were fresh and vibrant green color and tasty. The mashed potatoes were good. My dessert the sundae brownie served w/ ice cream caramel and chocolate sauce atop a rich fudge brownie. See photos. The menu offers something for everyone. Fish and chips, burgers, salmon more. Great customer service.
Nice, well-kept tavern. Amazing and endless draught list. Excellent bartender service. Very good sandwiches and fries. What more do you need from a local tavern?! If I lived around here, I would come here often. I was in town for work, and staying at the Courtyard Marriott, which is immediately behind the tavern. It was a rainy Sunday night so it was pretty empty. I sat at the bar. I was one of four people at the bar. The bartender promptly greeted me and gave me a beer list and food menu. The draught beer options are insane. There are over 40 beers on tap, including over 15 IPAs. They keep great local beers like Whalers and Wormtown. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich came with lettuce tomato and bleu cheese or ranch on a brioche bun. I got it with ranch, because it's just better that way. Seriously. I also added cheddar cheese. The meal came out within 10 minutes. The chicken was thick, crispy, and piping hot. The bun was fresh and soft. The veggies on the sandwich were fresh and plentiful. I was really impressed with the sandwich. The fries were thick and crispy. The fries looked and tasted like they were freshly cut. I was not expecting such a good meal. With a great beer list, great service and excellent bar food, I hope work brings me here again soon.
What a great spot in what seems to be a strange location. We pulled up and wasn't quite sure where to park but found parking behind the place. The restaurant itself is huge, great setup. Huge bar and over 100 beers on tap! It's crazy! Our server, Steve was awesome very friendly and knowledgeable. Made great suggestions for beer selections. We started with the Chicken Quesadilla came with salsa, sour cream and guac. It was really yummy! Gobbled it so fast, you'd think Thanksgiving was calling. I ended up with the Pasta Harissa and my bf went with the fish and chips. I really liked my dish had a little kick to it, half for dinner, half for lunch the next day. The fish was really the star in my opinion flaky, crispy and not greasy at all! The place seemed a bit empty considering its size and the fact that it's nestled in between 2 hotels couldn't explain the lack of customers. We will def be back!
Great vibe atmosphere Great music sound system location right off i-95 friendly, nice, helpful, efficient, staff local patrons flat screen tv's huge stone fireplace 123 varied, huge selection of beers on tap fabulous varied menu offerings I had a Trippel Belgian which was strong 8.4% but very good. I also tried the Smittynose Porter which was great but more of an Autumn beer IMHO Bc of the robust flavor. I settled on the MA/VT Microbrew Collaboration Pilsner which had a really nice floral bouquet. I ordered the Banh Mi I did not see that they put the Japanese White sauce on the sandwich. MY BAD. I love the traditional Banh Mi. It's a French Vietnamese Culinary Masterpiece IMHO. So I would highly encourage them to omit that or maybe put on the side Bc it was FABULOUS. But hey, that my .02 it's not my Kitchen. My Server was Fabulous too. She did an outstanding job. Brian, the Mgr stopped by made a really genuine personal effort to check on my food drink. That's always hugely impressive. Overall, this place is really a GREAT find. WELL DONE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :
Surprisingly good bar food and a great selection of local craft beer! The chicken pot pie is fantastic, as is the black bean burger. The atmosphere and interior of the pub are not much to speak of, but it's definitely worth a visit. Also, there's a neat cemetery from the 1800s right behind the restaurant that is worth a look.
