Brookland's Finest Kitchen - Washington

This restaurant definitely deserves five stars just for the food! The atmosphere is nice, with a laid-back bar/pub vibe, but the cocktails and food really make it a must-visit destination. The poutine alone is worth the trip, and the deviled eggs are incredibly tasty. And then there’s the breakfast burger... WOW! It’s perfection on a plate. I think I’ll have to plan my visits separately: one time for cocktails and another just for the food. It’s too good to try and do both at once. Absolutely loved it!

This place is truly a hidden gem, I was hesitant at first, but as soon I stepped foot in the door, I felt the vibe. I got the shrimp and grits with the poach egg. Never had a poach egg before so the experience of that was really good. In exchange for the sausage soffrito I got steak. The steak was really good, got the Medium well with Minimal pink and my oh my was I so happy eating the food 11/10. Had to get the beignets to go of course

My partner and I were traveling the east coast and stumbled upon this gem. The atmosphere was nice and smooth. Terrance our bartender was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. My name is Terrance. He was surprised to meet a woman with that name too. The Manhattans were fabulous. There was a very generous amount of food. The blue catfish was heavenly. The menu said greens so I ordered them. I was expecting collard, kale or mustard but the greens were actually sauteed Swiss chard. The menu should say what it is. The macaroni and cheese was good.

A lovely bar and diner that is very crowded. I went to get drinks and light appetizers, which were reasonably priced. I had the Mount Pleasant house Cocktail and my friend had the Reclaiming My Time. Both cocktails were subpar and lacked flavor. They also came out in glasses that were a little smaller than I would have thought for the price. The appetizers were good, but nothing spectacular. We had the Fried Green Tomato Napoleon, the Crispy Brussel Sprout Chips, and the Pretzel Bites, the last one tasting more like bread bites since they lacked the taste of pretzels. I will say that the staff were incredibly kind, the ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, and there was plenty of seating both inside and outside the restaurant.

The newest add to their menu Kale salad is the best. You can add meat to it if you want. It is very good the wY it is. Well, I minus the bacon.
