The Dignitary - Washington

Love this place! Great list for bourbon. Great cocktails and friendly staff. Visited while staying at the Marriott.

I wouldn't expect such a good bar in a hotel, even an upscale Marriott. The place was clean and stylish, had a great atmosphere, and friendly staff. They have an impressive selection of whiskey and made a solid (and generously-poured) Manhattan.

A very elegant place. The atmosphere is very pleasant. You can have a nice conversation while enjoying the drinks. I love the whiskey listing. I am a Washington resident and this bar is like my local bar too. You can meet people from around the country who are in DC for business. The service is very good and special Saba was always smiling and welcoming guests to the bar. Love it.

The service is weak and the beer selection is limited, but it's a great spot for whiskey enthusiasts. The beef with potatoes and mushrooms is simply the best I've ever had.

I really enjoy hotel bars because they offer a fantastic atmosphere for people-watching and relaxing in the evening. The Dignitary is an excellent hotel bar. The bartender was fantastic and provided great recommendations and explanations about Scotch.
