Hank’s Oyster On The Wharf

Oysters were reasonable size, briny but good but a bit pricey. The service experience was good from the front door to the wait staff. The rest of the food was mediocre.

Ate here for dinner on July 26, 2023. To be nice the waitress was just not good at her job or just didn’t care. She was not attentive and left us at the table for long periods of time when she needed to be there. We ordered oysters, and for some reason they thought it was a good idea to place napkins, and straws on top of the raw oyster. I ordered fish and chips and they were OK. My daughter ordered the short rib I believe and it was OK. Mac cheese was decent I guess. I asked for more napkins and the waitress gave me one. I asked for more because clearly one was not enough. She said she would be back with more, and she never came back with more so I had to get more off the table next to me. Doubtful I would ever go back, but you may like it.

Had dinner tonight at Hank's Oyster Bar at the Wharf. The food was average. We loved the oysters, but my wife hated her salad, and my crab cake sandwich was average. I'd say that the atmosphere was ok, our experience overall was extremely rushed. We were finished with dinner less than 35 minutes after we sat down. I love expedited service, but this may have been the fastest dinner out that I've ever experienced in my life and not in a good way.

We came in Friday, Aug 25 2023 at 6:39 pm. We waited for a table for 30 mins. We were seated outside with a nice view of the wharf. Rob was an excellent waiter. We had the small bites crab cake which was delicious. I ordered a side Caesar which was unique and tasty but the romaine was white rather than green (that didn’t stop me from devouring the whole thing).For dinner I had the seafood fettuccine and my husband ordered the fish and chips -we were in the mood for seafood. Both entrees came quickly and were hot and absolutely delicious.The fettuccine had a creamy, almost lobster sauce and it was so wonderful. The seafood was perfectly cooked and not chewy.The fish and chips had a crunchy batter and the fish was flakey. French fries were nicely seasoned. The side of cole slaw was very flavorful without being too vinegar-y (is that a word)?All in all we had a lovely time. Our server took great care of us without being disruptive.We would certainly go again

Awesome place to stop by if your in town and want seafood. Great customer service. The setting was near the water and had great atmosphere. My only complaint...which is not the restaurants fault but Parking is horrible. We got to destination at 8:40pm but didn't find parking until 30 mins later. Luckily the restaurant honored our reservation.
