Depending on how busy they are, could be a wait if only one person is working. There are some sitting options but not a lot inside. Not sure if the outdoor seating for the neighboring restaurant can be used but if can be, there's a lot.
Stopped by to try their collab danish with Oishi strawberries. The strawberry danish was so pretty. The strawberries were so sweet and juicy and the danish was golden brown and chewy. The worker was friendly and quick. I went late morning on a weekday and it was not busy. The pastries here are a little pricey, which is why I probably wouldn't stop by everyday.
I'm in love with their cinnamon roll I asked them to heat it up and it was amazing! I also love their tea selection I ended up buying the brand of tea on amazon after. I've tried their croissants and cookies as well and you can just tell it is all quality. I come here every time I stay in the Navy Yard. Also, the service there is top notch. The last time I went, I was with a friend and she unfortunately fainted while we were sitting and chatting. The staff immediately went into action, helped me lift my friend up, called 911, and stayed close as the EMTs came. I'm so amazed by their kindness. Not only did I love their pastries and tea, but how they helped my friend that day warmed my heart.

Each bite is a testament to the bakery's commitment to craftsmanship and quality ingredients. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff enhance the overall experience, making Mah-Ze-Dahr a perfect spot to indulge in the finest pastries. Whether you're craving a savory delight or a sweet indulgence, this bakery is a must-visit destination for pastry connoisseurs.
Stopped by for a quick grab and go situation. Very convenient location, close to the stadium and metro. No line or a lot of people dining in on a weekday late morning. They had a fair selection of pastries, cakes, and cookies, but I decided to go with the basics and get a chocolate croissant. They were not freshly baked so felt a little cold (esp the chocolate part) but still very buttery and flakey craving satisfied.
