After the craze over Popeye’s chicken sandwich ends, you must come here for the best fried chicken sandwich in town. The spicy and regular versions are both awesome and live up to the hype. Simple-but-quality ingredients outpace Chick-fil-A and others by miles. Options include a combo with fries and drinks. This location is on the popular 14th street and would be a good stop before a night out.

Despite having to deal with some people begging outside all the time that I go into this franchise, I haven't had any serious issues. However, they didn't have any spicy chicken and many other items one day. No joke. I have the photo below because I could not believe it. If you are able to spare some change to the people outdoors, please do. They are harmless. I work around the corner so this is nothing new. Oh and it helps if you know some Spanish because some of the cashiers honestly do not understand English. My Spanish isn't that great but I can get by.

Wow, those incredible staff members had my combo meal ready right after I finished paying, and they were so cheerful about it too! I really appreciate them, especially those fun new touchscreen soda fountains that are popping up everywhere.

There was a long wait despite only two people ahead of me, but the chicken was hot and fresh. I also tried the new mac and cheese, but after all the hype from others, I found it to be a bit disappointing.

I really enjoy Popeye's, but I've had a couple of issues with the mobile app not sending my customizations to the store, resulting in standard orders. I understand that this isn't the fault of the store itself, so I’ve provided feedback through the app and reached out to corporate to inform them about the problem.
