The food was fine and had a good taste, it just felt like some of the portions were a bit small and budget. I would probably choose a different budget location over this one in the future. However, if you have a strong Korean food craving, this restaurant does have the market cornered in that part of Dc. We sat with a pretty large group, it was not incredibly comfortable, but the restaurant and staff kindly accommodated our size and needs
The customer service was so welcoming and the food was so good and well priced
If you like Asian food and are on a budget, this is the eatery for you. The spicy pork noodle box $11.49) was really good and the portion was very generous. I had bottled peach tea with my meal, then got a Matcha Blossom milk tea $5.25) to drink as I walked to the nearby Textile Museum. Popular with students, it's not very crowded if you go before noon.
I recently tried Poppabox's Teppanyaki Bowl with spicy pork, and it was a delightful experience. The bowl offered a generous portion size and a great value for money. The spicy pork had the right amount of flavor, complemented by perfectly cooked japchae noodles, flavorful rice, and mixed vegetables. The indoor seating is comfortable and inviting. While the absence of hot sauce is a missed opportunity, overall, Poppabox delivers a delicious dining experience. Recommended for their Teppanyaki Bowl and cozy atmosphere.
