Finn Porter - Washington, D.C.

Finn Porter is a hidden gem on 10th street in downtown DC, and it is one of my favorite seafood restaurants in the city, especially for their gourmet sushi. While it may be pricier than smaller sushi spots, their menu also includes steaks, sandwiches, meats, and seafood dishes. I highly recommend starting with the Mediterranean platter, which comes with roasted red peppers, hummus, and olives – it's perfect for sharing and is beautifully presented with warm pita bread. The sushi selection is fantastic, with fresh fish and a variety of options including tofu pockets and sashimi. The main dishes, such as the ahi tuna and scallops, are on the pricier side but definitely worth it. The side dishes are large and perfect for sharing. Keep in mind that the service can be a bit slow, so plan for a leisurely dining experience. And be sure to save room for dessert – the pumpkin cheesecake is a must-try! Please note that some items on the menu may be seasonal.

Attached to the Embassy Suites in downtown Washington. We ended up here for a quick dinner between matches at the convention center. Our waitress was great, friendly and attentive. looked nicer on open table than it actually was. it was quick and efficient and served the purpose but not a place I would go out of my way to patronize with so many options surrounding this restaurant. Overall not bad, just no wow

Expected more atmosphere at the restaurant an a more thanksgiving style turkey buffet meal for this price category. This was pretty poor

Food was good, and service was excellent. The restaurant was quiet; so, it was easy to converse as a group. We had a good time

We made a last minute reservation for a party of and were not sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised! Waitress was amazing, food was great and everyone in our party left impressed and happy! We had a great evening celebrating a special event! Thank you Finn and Porter
