Spirit Cafe - Waterbury

I wrestled a bit with what to do here. I had a horrible, skunked nitro cold brew at Spirit Cafe in Waterbury. It was 1/2 foam and just shouldn't have been served. When I told them, they didn't care. The staff was super indifferent and seemed unhelpful. Maybe a bad morning.I had an espresso there and it was a good roaster (Downeast) and made properly.

I've been here a few times now. Love the coffee and pastries. Staff is very friendly. Place is clean.

I work nearby and I’m not sure why it took me so long to check this place out. First off, their coffee/lattes are fantastic, some of, if not the best I’ve had in the city. They have many flavors and their specialty lattes are all very good. The food is also fantastic. Fresh and reasonably priced. I’m not sure if they bake their bread in house but it’s very soft and delicious, it tastes freshly baked. I haven’t had any of their bakery items yet but I imagine they’re also great. I highly recommend this place for coffee/breakfast. It’s roomy with enough seats to relax and get some work done if you need a place to sit too. The staff is very friendly as well. A nice little downtown gem.

Made a visit just passing by and was completely blown away. I tried one of the special drinks they had and the coffee was amazing. The food was prepped quickly and the service was very friendly and welcoming. I'd also like to note that the menu was impressively large and had me struggling to decide on what I wanted the most. Definitely coming back here to try more of that menu asap
