Lion's Den - Waterford

A place in Waterford that's been here for years. I fell here in the 1980s. I haven't been back for 35 years. Nice to return and try again! It is a favorite of locals for good reasons! Many parking spaces. Casual atmosphere, but plenty of space and sitting inside, so you don't have to wait too long for a table, even at busy times. The staff was always friendly and helpful. All American menus with a wide selection of well-cooked foods, which is reasonably expensive. The food was always excellent. We enjoyed our experience and I highly recommend it!

I love this place. My first memory of my grandmother was in a corner booth of the lions den, her eating frogs legs.... the food has stayed great all these years later. Thanks for the memories and great food!

Great meal. I had Lemon Chicken. The lemon sauce on it was awesome and it was served with fettuccine alfredo. Really very good. My husband had Fried Smelt. If you look at the picture, there were no french fries on the plate. That was all smelt. He was happy. The service is always good and the wait never terribly long.

So the Lion’s Den has been a family staple in our family for well over 20 years. We have gone to it every time we land in Detroit and get near the Waterford area. It’s usually my first dinner when we get to town and I look forward to it each time. Never change a thing. The fish is a go to every time.

There's the smell of pizza as you walk in the door, and there was a slight wait, but the wall of famous players keeps you occupied. Food was delicious! Tables were a bit cramped, but they weren't hurting for business. I would have loved to hang out more as they had plenty of TVs to watch the latest games! If my brother wasn't moving I would come back again during football season!
