Fresh Mediterranean Express - Waukee

The food is fantastic! This is one of my top choices for a family lunch or dinner.

The restaurant is a charming little spot with some of the best food in Des Moines. The Mediterranean dishes are fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The service is friendly and efficient. My partner and I ordered the chicken platter, which came with pita bread, hummus, rice, chicken kebabs, grilled vegetables, and salad. The portion size was generous and the kebabs and veggies were perfectly grilled with a delicious smoky flavor. For dessert, we had baklava which was also delicious.

Expensive and not much meat on salad or nachos. Alot of seasoning. Also very warm in resturant.

When they put the word fresh in the name, they had better deliver. Fresh Mediterranean Express has never disappointed me. Fresh and delicious food is always ready when they indicate it will be ready. I use the online ordering system and it is flawless. You won't believe the pita bread. Amazing!

Fresh Med is our new go-to place when getting takeout. The food is delicious and seems much healthier than your typical fast food. Online ordering is a bit confusing the first time, but it is definitely the way to go. The drive thru is a nice idea, but they should really have people drive around to the parking lot after ordering, because otherwise the drive thru gets backed up with only 2 or 3 cars. When I order on my phone, I pay with Google pay which is super slick, and the food is always done faster than the estimate. They also have curbside pickup which works really well.
