We discovered this wonderful pub, looking for somewhere to celebrate a birthday whilst on holiday. We specifically wanted somewhere we would take a dog. The atmosphere in the pub was relaxed and the welcome was very friendly. The owner was very attentive to us and the dog. The food was the best pub food I have ever eaten, especially the chips! One of the children had the chicken nuggets, which were pieces of chicken breast, freshly battered. The portions of all the meals were very generous. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely visit again when we are next in the area. Kid-friendliness: The staff were very attentive with the children. Huge congratulations to the chef for accommodating celiac and dairy-free dietary restrictions. The food was exceptional, although we had to leave quickly due to a prior commitment to go swimming. I wish I had more of the dark fruits and had the chance to sample some desserts. The cost per person ranged from £10 to £20, and both the food and service received top marks with a rating of 5 each.

Just had a delicious late lunch at the White Horse in Corton. The food was superb, the skate was the best my husband had eaten in quite a while...fresh, meaty substantial. The homemade scampi and onion rings are also worthy of mention, as was their patience kindness for our border terrier who is very much a work in progress! We will be back!
