Tamarind Thai - WAVERTON

I will certainly not be returning to this restaurant. It has been a few years since my last visit, which was already quite mediocre, but this time it was even worse. The curry I ordered was very watery, with an overwhelming amount of onions and hardly any beef. The beef that was present had a weird taste, making me question if it was actually beef or possibly low-quality meat. When I brought this issue up, the elderly man working there was rude and disrespectful towards me.

This Thai restaurant used to be our go-to spot before Covid, serving consistently delicious food. However, recently we ordered some takeout and were disappointed. The Thai fish cake was dull and lacked flavor, with a noticeable absence of Kaffir lime leaves. The Chilli and Basil Veg with Tofu was also bland, difficult to distinguish from the previous dish. The abundance of bamboo shoots in many dishes seemed like a way to mask the lack of other flavorful ingredients. Overall, our experience left us feeling disappointed.

We had a great night. The Entrees of Net Rolls Emerald Prawns was a great start to a great meal. Followed by Whole Fish w/Green Mango
