Írjon visszajelzéstThis was an incredible dinner, both in the sense of food and service. They made one small mistake and went completely out of their way to fix it in the kindest way possible. The location is beautiful and there is a nice ambiance. The tasting menu is very well priced, especially considering that you get very good sized portions we both left feeling very full. I can really see why this is an award winning restaurant! (I have just one photo of the dessert, but all of the food was great)
The food is exquisite and the customer service is exceptional. Dining at Logan Brown is a complete experience that lasts a couple of hours from beginning to end. It's definitely worth reserving some time in your schedule to fully enjoy one of Wellington's most iconic restaurants.
The ambience and atmosphere was great and the staff were kind. Unfortunately the food was a bit of a let down. The meal started with 2 types of breads and 2 different butters, both were delicious. For the entree I got the Chevre Nettle Tortellone Rabbit Bolognese and it was delicious. Unfortunately that was the last delicious part of the meal. For my main I got the Apple Glazed Duck Breast and it was a disappointment, the only good part was the Shiitake Terrine and I don't even like mushrooms. For my dessert I got the Feijoa Parfait and it was revolting. Unfortunately I was looking forward to this meal quite a bit and was ultimately let down.
Let's start with the paua ravioli, which I highly recommend for $12. Be sure to save some bread to soak up the delicious sauce afterward. Unfortunately, our service from the kitchen was quite slow, which I believe affected the overall experience of the meal. The stracciatella lacked flavor, and the accompanying pear and radish didn't really enhance it. The duck and hapuka were slightly overcooked, though the skins were still crispy. The heirloom carrots were also overcooked; I usually prefer them al dente, but that might just be a matter of personal taste. The espresso and cardamom mousse was overwhelmed by the cardamom, making it taste more like soy sauce than coffee. I would definitely recommend opting for the parfait or cheese instead.
Went to Logan Brown for the first time in ages and loved it. The set pricing was awesome value as the food was amazing. Great choice on the menu along with very friendly service. The place was fully booked which was nice to see in these Covid times.
