The Borough - Wellington

Tried The Borough the other night for the first time. Super spacious and the tables become packed as soon as we were half way through our meals which is a good sign! We started off with a couple of cocktails and frozen margaritas which was both delicious. For mains we got the pork belly as well as the fish of the day and halloumi fries. The pork belly and fish chip was cooked perfectly both had delicious flavours too! There wasn’t anything special with the halloumi fries but it still went well with the mains.

We received a warm welcome and our reservation requests were fully accommodated, earning a solid 5 stars! The customer service was consistently excellent from all the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and desserts, and the Graham Norton gin-inspired cocktails were a delightful addition to our experience.

We ordered the chicken parmigiana. It was beautifully presented...a good sized portion and it was beautifully cooked as well. The chicken was so tender! I would definitely order that dish again. Atmosphere was nice...very relaxed and not too noisy.

This restaurant is a nice find in the suburbs. We went for dinner around 6 PM, and the service was excellent. Our food arrived relatively quickly, especially since we got there before a large table placed their order. I ordered the Creamy Fettuccine with Chicken (the chicken isn't included by default), and I have to say, it was quite good! It was creamy (not too runny) and absolutely delicious. The portion size was just right for a satisfying meal. My friend chose the Southern Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and really enjoyed it! We also tried a couple of chicken wings (it's Wednesday, so they were just $1) and they were tasty with buffalo sauce. Overall, I have to give this place high marks for its location, affordability, service, and food!
