Bitter End - Wells

Bitter End was a pleasant surprise!! My husband and I live locally and wanted to sit outside for dinner, away from the congested areas of Wells. He likes seafood, I do not. The outside seating was comfortable and fun. We ordered chicken tequitos to start and they were super flavorful and fresh. The service was fast and very friendly. He ordered a seafood dish that he loved and I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fries and coleslaw which was delicious.For dessert, we tried the blueberry crumble with vanilla ice cream. The crust was the perfect consistency, and the blueberries were a perfect match with the ice cream. We will be back!

GREAT atmosphere outside, will go back just for that!! Classic Mussels weren't seasoned enough, tasted like watered down broth, needed more garlic and herbs. The spinach salad was delicious. Nice variety.

The four of us had dinner started off with cocktails, appatizers and the main course we all agreed the food was very good the waitress was good also and we decided that we would return

My fiancé and I visited Bitter End on Sunday for Lunch. Everything was excellent, however, the portions for the main courses were small. I got the seafood stew a handful of clams, small (very small portion of fish, and only 2 shrimp. It was slightly underwhelming in size although very good. My Spring Buzz drink was good....but pricey $14. The atmosphere was nice the owner was super sweet and I let her know everything was fantastic. If we're in the area again, and the outside is open, we will be back. (I hope the portions get bigger when you think of a seafood stew you don't expect very little seafood or very small portion. Spent $130 total including a $25 tip.

Live in Kennebunk and drive by all the time. Decided to bring my adult daughter for lunch. Hostess said 15 minutes which turned into 30. Finally got seated and promptly got ignored for another her 20 minutes. When the bartender/waiter finally took our order it was another 30-40 minutes for food. Truffle fries cold. I had salad with olives and falafel with grilled chicken. Chicken totally over cooked. By then it was feeling like forever. No table umbrellas so roasting. Daughter also had mussels which were the one good thing. Would never go back. Too many other good restaurants around here!!
