Hobbs Harborside - Wells

Food was excellent, as was the service. The outside temp was in the 50's and they had their AC going full-bore.. uncomfortably chilled.

Hobbs Harborside Restaurant is in a beautiful setting in Wells, Maine with a marvelous Oceanside view. The dining areas are spacious, and can accommodate a lot of people. The bar is near the entrance and offers a good amount of seating as well. The service was reasonably quick for the number of people there when I was there. My companion and I got a windowside table for two with a great view. Our server was prompt and gave great service. The food was delivered quickly and fairly hot. The fried haddock was very good. My companion said her scallops and onion rings were excellent. The shoestring French Fries leaved a lot to be desired. Some seemed over-cooked and others seemed under-cooked. And some seemed just right. The inconsistency was annoying. Their cole slaw is quite bland. We make better at home. It is a good place to eat with good atmosphere. We'll go back for the atmosphere more than for the food.

This restaurant deserves as the best around Ogunquit area in the decent food, excellent services and wonderful view of the peaceful harbor.

Absolutely classic restaurant in Wells Maine. 100% recommend to anyone looking for great seafood. The clam chowder was excellent I would order it again and again. Also on my visit I choice the half fried oysters and half fired whole belly clams. Delicious in-house made tartar sauce. Great drinks, friendly staff. My family visits every year when we come up to Maine
