East Bay Deli West Columbia

An endless variety of combinations in sandwiches. This time I tried the full salad bar kept covered by glass to keep everything cold and fresh; prepared by a server at your direction of amounts of each selection (just like at Subway). Eat in or take out. One trip or all you can eat. Very tasty with crackers and your choice from a variety of drinks. To top everything off, to satisfy your sweet tooth, several hard to find gourmet cakes on display that look so good you really want to take a slice from each one. Chocolate Fudge, Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake, Red Velvet and others, cut in very large slices with two forks enclosed in case you want to share (sorry, get your own). I got the Chocalate Fudge and it tastes as good as it looks (no guilt feelings keeping it all to myself).

Great salad bar. The staff prepare the salad for you; no more self-serv and I'm happy about that. Bar is always spotless!

I have experienced diarrhea within hours of eating at East Bay Deli 04-28-23. Apparently they are not clean there and the food has bacteria.

Within walking distance of our hotel, my husband and I walked over to get him dinner. He decided on the Charleston Philly. There were lots of choices on menu. He was pleased with it. But, said he had had better before. It was also on the small side for him and he would have preferred being able to only purchase the sandwich without having to purchase the chips with. Overall, we would pick up something there again if we were staying in the hotels nearby.

Kid's Night is fun, especially on special occasions like Easter with the bunny.
