Winchester Public House

Best old fashioned I've had in town. The bartenders take their craft seriously and the attention to detail really pays off in the drinks. This is my new favorite bar. Too bad it's 30 minutes from my house!

Went with a group out for my birthday. One of my friends is just under 21, walking in we noticed that it said “no minors” on the door. Assuming that it meant under the age of 18 as is standard for that phrase, we thought he would be ok as he had no intention of trying to order alcohol. After some members of our party had ordered drinks and received them, we were carded and he clearly stated he had no intention of ordering alcohol and was just there with the group. He was very rudely ordered to leave, quoting the server “get out”. Disappointed in the service throughout the night as well. We asked for the check and he did not return with it in a timely manner, after deciding to pay with cash we left. Then quickly following us exiting we were accused of not paying by our server who did not check the table. Will not be returning.

The bar lets you in, you get a chair, you talk with your friends. The music is good, there's TVs if you decide you want to ignore those friends you have. The big wall is nice looking, it's a good environment to have a nice drink.

Sat at the bar. Great service. Beautiful space. Cocktails were so beautiful, AND delicious!

Checked it out for the first time and the hospitality was real!! Loved the atmosphere, drinks, whisky, and bartenders. Will be back again without question.
