The Hungry Crab - West Hartford

Sat in the bar because there were no tables. We were ignored at bar and after 10 minutes we complained and they came to talk with the bartender. We ordered a 30$ lobster it did not taste fresh at all we also ordered the fried shrimp and fried oysters, again the oysters were not fresh tasting at all, shrimp was ok . We will not be returning

If I could give them zero stars I WOULD!!! I ordered a bag and forgot to ask for no sausage, the waiter came back and I let him know that I was a pescatarian and forgot to ask for no sausage and if I could get a new one. He said ok no problem, 10mins later he came back and said “new bag, no sausage”. I ate a couple pieces and then realized there was one sausage in there. I called him and explained there was a sausage after he informed me he gave me a new bag with no sausage. He immediately took the bag up and said “ok this is our mistake, you dnt pay”. My bf and I walked out and will never be back, if you’re a pescatarian I WOULD ADVICE YOU TO NOT EAT HERE!!! IF YOU ORDER SOMETHING AND FORGET TO SAY NO SAUSAGE OR DNT REALIZE IT HAS SAUSAGE AND YOU ASK FOR A NEW ONE THEY JUST PICK THE MEAT OUT AND GIVE YOU THE SAME BAG!!!

I'm really loving all the options for the crab boil. The people who work are here super friendly and very attentive. One of my favorite places in west Hartford. I'd post pictures of what I ordered but it's already gone. ? Wheelchair accessibility: The seating area is set up for wheel chairs.

This is a fake seafood restaurant. The food is completely tasteless. Water tastes better than their food. Their food was clearly kept in the refrigerator for a long time. They'll also pack the hot food in a regular plastic bag. So this is the opportunity to taste plastic also, disgusting right! Don't buy food here. Do not make mistakes.

Have the pleasure of going to the Hungry Crab for the first time. The food was delicious. Have the seafood broiled for 2.The cajun mix was not too spicy. It was very flavorful. They give it to you in a bag and provide gloves so that you can keep your have clean. They do have a bar area off to the side where you can get your alcoholic beverages.It's located in the same shopping plaza around the corner from Rita's Italian Ice. There is ample park and it's right off of New Britain Ave. It is also, handicap accessible as its on a flat.I regret not taking any photos as I was excited to dive into the food. However, that just means this is another opportunity for me to go again.Parking: They have parking at the front or to either side of the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: It's wheelchair accessible as its on the flat.
